14:30 - 15:45 Finding Your Superhero

One of the most important skills of leadership is modeling behavior. There are countless potential role models around us to choose from, but few of them are the embodiment of who we are trying to become. Modeling our behavior, making our life-decisions based on how we see successful others designing their lives is how most of us plan, engineer and move our own lives forward.

How do we find role models in life to show us how to live? How do we find people that inspire us? How do we incorporate these people into our own lives?

As we grow, mature, learn and become effective leaders in our own right, we realize that we too now are role models for others. How seriously do we need to take this responsibility? Should we consciously manage ourselves so that others can follow in our own steps, or just go about doing the best we can?

This session will include as many of the Women in Business Leadership Award Nominees that are able to meet in the afternoon. Come and cast your vote for your favorite “Delegate’s Choice” at the event itself

15:45 - 16:15 Networking Break with coffee and tea

16:15 - 17:30 Grooming Women Leaders

Men are from Mars, and women are from Venus. With great variability in skill sets, why we still treat the two genders the same way? People from different countries and cultures have different development needs – no one questions this. How about the two genders?

Organizations that are successful at grooming women for senior level leadership positions know that the two genders should also have different developmental programs. These companies effectively prepare our high potential women for a successful life at the top of the pyramid. What secrets do they have? What do they know that we don’t?

Do successful women need to become more like men in order to flourish and lead in a man’s environment? How can women fit in, develop the bonds of trust with men, garner their support and foster their follower-ship? Can women successfully reach the top by emphasizing and leveraging their femininity, or is this a recipe for disaster?

Things are done differently on Mars and on Venus. How can we best prepare our women to comfortably walk in both worlds?

This session will include a discussion with several senior level women who will share how their companies are grooming the next wave of women for life at the top.
